BELLEVUE HILL CLASSIC
Originally renovated as a classical style home for our clients, then a young family in the 80’s, they approached
us on the recommendations of their landscaper Michael Zinn, who could see that the house needed further
opening up to best connect to his planned new rear garden. We redeveloped the public open spaces at the
rear, enlarging both the relocated dining room and living room, and relocated the kitchen to the rear old formal dining room, which had become something of a dinosaur in their lifestyle. We selected a timeless elegant palette of finishes to enhance the classical features of the home, with new furniture selected throughout the new living spaces.
The original house had no real outdoor living space other than a lawn and the raised pool area, so we created
a new substantial covered bbq /patio, with another smaller terrace off the family room to complete this transformation.
Nowadays the entire family spend most of their time on the outdoor patio in fine weather, while also enjoying the reduced pool at the rear of their garden.
Half way through the renovation, our clients decided they also wanted to rework the front of the house.
Elevated high off the street, we redeveloped a new double garage with a covered entryway, together with a new lift to whisk guests up to the main entry level. This involved major excavation earthworks concrete piering to maintain the stability of the newly completed refurbished home.
The entire building works were successfully undertaken by the team at GPM Constructions, www.gpmconstructions.com.au/, with our highly
detailed joinery works made by Rosswell Interiors rosswellinteriors.com.au/
